Why it sits unused: UK beef already comes into Canada duty-free with no quota under the Canada-UK Trade Continuity Agreement, and importers can use either agreement. This quota adds a second route, not new access.
It covers beef and veal of UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man origin that meets the CPTPP rules of origin. First come, first served, one shipment at a time; the 2026 amount covers September to December.
