Chemical lean 50CL at 198¢/lb has added 14¢/lb on the week and history carries it another 31¢/lb from here into early July, with cow kill already short and imports bridging a tighter-than-normal domestic supply. Ground beef 75s at 408¢/lb are holding the overnight gain, the grind complex broadly bid without a retail feature base underneath it. Meanwhile, the loin complex is doing the opposite: short loin at 892¢/lb has shed 48¢/lb on the day and history points another 121¢/lb lower into mid-summer, tenderloin at 1622¢/lb gained 99¢/lb overnight but faces a seasonal forward that has broken sharply negative every prior year from this level. Screwworm detections add a longer-tail supply question the carcass weights data hasn't captured yet.
